Clean Energy for First Nations

First Nations using diesel generated heat and/or power often experience high energy and environmental costs.

CIER would like to work with First Nations to reduce their reliance on non-renewable resources that contribute to climate change and turn high operating costs into economic development opportunities through technologies such as wind, solar and small hydro. We would also like to work with First Nations who have an opportunity to generate clean energy on their land and sell power directly to the energy grid to offset non-renewable energy in other regions. CIER will work with First Nations to identify project funding.

If your community is interested in exploring economic development opportunities through the implementation of technologies such as wind, solar and small hydro, please contact us for more information.
