December 22th, 1999

The third floor is just about complete! The final coat of paint is on the walls, the hardwood floors are finished, and the baseboards and doorframes are in place. Behind the scenes, final steps are being taken to ensure the proper functioning of the telephone and computer networks. Painting has started on the fourth floor, and lighting has been installed in the library and computer lab. The construction of the wall dividing the classrooms, as well as some other work on the fourth floor, was delayed due to structural work - now complete. To allow for unobstructed space in the classrooms, two supporting columns were removed and a steel beam fitted to take their place. The final picture shows a hole cut in the old sprinkler tank to allow the beam to rest on the outer north wall.
