Our award-winning green office reflects our commitment to sustainability and respect for the natural environment. The office occupies the top two floors of a century old building in a national historic site in Winnipeg, the Exchange District.
Our Board of Directors selected this location in 1999. This previously longstanding vacant warehouse space provided us with the opportunity to demonstrate how a private First Nation organisation can lead the sustainable revitalisation of a building important to the fabric and history of downtown Winnipeg.
The space has the following green features:
- Compact fluorescent lighting
- Straw board millwork
- EcoLogo certified paint
- Recyclable carpet tile
- Ceramic flooring made with post-consumer glass
- Waterless composting toilets
Our green office also features a bathroom shower to encourage our staff to cycle to work, and a sacred space for our staff and guests to participate in ceremonies and traditional feasts.
Green Office Tours
We have toured over 2,500 people through our office, some from as far away as South America, India and China. To arrange a tour of our office, please contact us. For groups of ten people or more, we request an honorarium.

Rental Facilities and Rates
Consider hosting your seminar, workshop, ceremony, board meeting or staff retreat in our warm atmosphere!
Our space includes training facilities, meeting rooms, a boardroom and a sacred space. Seating and table configuration is flexible. Facilities are available to rent full days or half days, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm. Our building is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator.
Equipment available for rent includes: LCD projector, projection screen, TV and VCR or DVD, blackboards, whiteboards and flipcharts. Other on-site services available include a photocopier, and a desktop computer with Internet access.
Our executive class facilities are available at reasonable prices. We also have some discounts available.
